Choosing the right AI tools for your business
There are more AI tools than any leader can evaluate. Nearly every software vendor now claims to have AI built in, and new products launch constantly. The result is often tool sprawl: overlapping subscriptions, inconsistent results and company data spread across services nobody approved.
AI tool selection coaching helps you choose with purpose. With Chris Kovac, you start from the work your business needs done, then match each use case to the right platform, whether that is a major assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, an AI feature inside software you already pay for, or an emerging specialist tool. Recommendations are based on what your business needs, not on any vendor relationship, and they account for cost, security and how your team actually works.
Chris Kovac has spent more than 20 years in marketing and technology and evaluates tools the way an operator does: what a tool does well, what it costs, what it does with your data and whether your team will actually use it. He is co-founder and President of the Kansas City AI Club.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI tool is best for business?
It depends on the work. Different platforms are stronger at writing, analysis, coding or working inside tools you already use. Coaching matches tools to your specific use cases instead of naming one winner for everyone.
Do you receive commissions from AI vendors?
No. Recommendations are based on what your business needs, not on any platform.
Should we standardize on one AI assistant?
Often a primary assistant plus a short list of approved specialist tools works well. Standardizing makes training, governance and cost control easier. The right answer depends on your team and your data.
Can we bring a tool we are already evaluating?
Yes. Bring the shortlist, the pricing and any terms you have received. A session can pressure test the choice before you commit.
What about free AI tools?
Free tiers often use your inputs to improve their models and lack admin controls. For business use, paid plans with clear data terms are usually the safer default. We cover the tradeoffs in the session.
