AI fluency and literacy coaching for leaders

You do not need to become an AI expert, but you do need to speak the language of AI in business. Leaders who cannot tell a strong AI proposal from a weak one end up deferring to vendors, or to whoever on the team sounds most confident.

AI fluency and literacy coaching gives executives private time with Chris Kovac to build practical understanding at their own pace, using their own work. Instead of a generic course, sessions focus on the decisions you face and the tools you will actually use. Chris started as an AI skeptic himself and learned by putting AI to work in a business he ran, so the coaching is plain-spoken and honest about what AI does well and where it falls short. No question is too basic.

Sessions are private, so you can ask anything without an audience. Many leaders use a first session to build foundations, then book follow-ups as their role and the tools evolve. Each session ends with a written summary and action items within one business day, so the learning sticks.

Every session is a la carte. Book this topic on its own or combine it with other topics in the same session or block of hours. There is no program to join and no required order.

Who this is for

  • Senior leaders preparing to set an example for AI training across their organization

  • How today's AI tools work, in plain language, and the terms worth knowing
  • What AI does well, where it makes mistakes and how to check its work
  • Hands-on prompting practice using real tasks from your week
  • Using AI for writing, research, analysis and meeting preparation
  • Spotting hype in vendor pitches and news headlines
  • How to encourage AI learning across your team once you are comfortable yourself

What you get from every session

  • A short pre-session survey, so Chris knows your goals and questions before you meet
  • The consulting time itself, focused on your business and your decisions
  • A transcript of the meeting for virtual sessions
  • A written summary with clear action items, delivered within one business day

Frequently asked questions

I am a complete beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. Many leaders start here. Sessions move at your pace and use your own work, so you build skills that apply right away.

How is this different from an online AI course?

A course teaches everyone the same material. Coaching starts from your role, your company and your questions, and every session ends with action items written for you.

Can you train my whole team?

Coaching is built for business owners and executives, one-on-one or in small groups. For a leadership team, see AI coaching for leadership teams. For larger training needs, use the Contact page.

Should I bring a laptop?

For Zoom sessions, join from a computer rather than a phone so you can practice with AI tools during the session. For in-person sessions, bring a laptop if you want hands-on practice.

How many sessions does it take to feel confident?

Most leaders feel a real difference after one or two sessions. Fluency is ongoing because the tools keep changing, so many clients keep a block of hours and book time when they need it.
